April Meeting Coming Up
US Representative Suzanne Bonamici of District 1 will be our guest at A4D’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 26. As a result of redistricting, she will now be representing much of Portland, as you can see from the map below.
Registration for the meeting is open, so sign up now! The meeting gets underway at 5:00pm.
Jamie McLeod-Skinner Campaign Canvassing for Jamie takes place in SE Portland this Saturday, April 9, and affords a chance to introduce Jamie to new Congressional District 5 voters. Canvassers will gather at Berkeley Park near the tennis courts at 2:00 pm(Berkeley Park is a few blocks north of the district boundary but is a good meeting place). Sign up here and bring along friends, family, and neighbors who might be interested. You can also hit the phones and speak to voters that can't be reached by foot. Phone banks take place on Sundays and Thursday. Go here to learn more and register. If you want to write postcards or know others who do, contact Mary at mary.d.chaffin@gmail.com and she will get you the necessary materials. Finally, you can attend a weekly rally on Fridays during the month of April starting this Friday, April 8 at 5:00pm. The rallies will be held at the corner of Oak Grove and McLaughlin Boulevards in Milwaukie, next to the Fred Meyer. Signs will be available or bring your own. Even if you don’t live in District 5, demonstrating your support will be much appreciated!
