Rally for Democracy Tomorrow!

Democracy Can’t Wait! Join the A4D Rally Tomorrow A4D is joining Indivisible groups across the country in a national day of action to demand that the Senate quits stalling, does its job, and passes the For the People Act (S1). We must protect the vote and our democracy before the August 16 deadline! Census data will be released August 12, which means states will begin drawing new voting district maps. At the same time, extremist lawmakers across the country have passed laws to make it harder to vote, especially for people of color. If S1 passes, it will ensure that redistricting is fair. It’s time for the Senate to step up and pass the bill, which has already cleared the House. Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, August 10, from 5:00-6:00pm at 2309 SW First Avenue as we walk a short distance to the I-405 overpass, where we’ll unfurl our signs and remind commuters that democracy can’t wait. Register here or simply show up. Bring signs if you’ve got them, balloons if you like, a hat, and plenty of water. It’s time to make a ruckus for democracy!
