A4D’s monthly meeting takes place tomorrow, Tuesday, January 25, at 5:00pm. Will you be there? To register, use this link. Our guest is Portland City Commissioner Dan Ryan. Commissioner Ryan is charged with oversight of the Joint Office of Homeless Services, the Bureau of Development Services, the Portland Housing Bureau, and the Portland Children's Levy.
Prior to becoming a city commissioner, Ryan served as an elected member of the Portland Public School Board from 2005 to 2008 and worked as the CEO of All Hands Raised (formerly Portland Schools Foundation) from 2008 to 2019, where he championed collective impact and guided six school districts in Multnomah County toward measurable and meaningful results during his tenure. In 2011, Commissioner Ryan received recognition as one of Portland Monthly’s50 Most Influential Portlanders. He is an alumnus of the American Leadership Forum in Oregon and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon. He also completed graduate-level work at New School University’s Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy.
