We’re Celebrating Please Join Us! Please come along to Act for Democracy’s summer celebration! Last year our July gathering was such a hit that we’re making it an annual event. This year we come together, outdoors and in person, on Tuesday, July 26, beginning at 5:30pm. You’ll meet fellow activists, see old friends, enjoy outstanding food, listen to inspiring speakers, and recommit to activism, courage, and positivity! Confirmed speakers include Representatives Tawna Sanchez, Thuy Tran, and Travis Nelson. We’ve also invited Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, other state officeholders, and Portland-area candidates and are awaiting their confirmation. We’d love to see you there! Senator Jeff Golden, Democrat from Ashland and champion of democracy in state government, is targeted by Oregon Republicans. As Oregon Senate’s strongest advocate for campaign finance reform, Golden’s race for re-election will be close and hotly contested. An outdoor fundraiser for Senator Golden, who accepts no corporate or PAC money, will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19, from 7:00-8:45pm at 2201 NE 21st Street in Portland. To RSVP, go here.
