Meet the Candidate for Clackamas County Elections Clerk A4D’s June Meeting

We’re delighted to introduce you to Catherine McMullen who is running for Clackamas County Elections Clerk against Sherry Hall, the person who is responsible for the debacle of a vote count in Clackamas County during May’s primary election. Catherine will be the guest speaker at our monthly Zoom meeting on Tuesday, June 28, beginning at 5:00pm. Use this link to register. Catherine has devoted her career to public service, first as a librarian and since 2015 as an elections administrator. She has conducted 15 elections, starting and developing the first Voter Education and Outreach program of its kind in the state. Prior to moving to Oregon, she worked as a Registrar of Voters in California. Catherine has a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington, an Executive Masters in Public Administration from Portland State University, and is certified by the Oregon Association of County Clerks. She believes that elections are the heart of our democracy and local elections, its lifeblood. You can learn more about Catherine at her website. Note that our July meeting will be an outdoor in-person social gathering on Tuesday, July 26 (details to come), and we’re taking the month off in August!
