Tomorrow's Meeting: Climate Action + Election News

A4D Meets Tomorrow Climate Action Now App + Election Results We meet tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24, via Zoom at our usual 5:00pm start time. Brett Walter, founder of the Climate Action Now app, will be our speaker. Please register now if you haven’t already at this link. Brett is an award-winning software designer who made his career in Silicon Valley as an entrepreneur and executive. When Donald Trump took the US out of the Paris Agreement, he resolved to use his skills to make a difference on climate. The result was the Climate Action Now app.

In addition to Brett’s presentation, the meeting will include an overview of Oregon’s primary election results—who’s in, who’s out, and who doesn’t know yet. We’ll also hear about what the heck is going on in Clackamas County and its implications for the 5th Congressional District. Plus we have more endorsements to announce. You won’t want to miss this meeting! Here’s the agenda with all the details. Observers Needed in Clackamas County Ballot Count All the hard work on Jamie McLeod Skinner’s campaign paid off. She leads her opponent Kurt Schrader by 20%, though the results aren’t final yet. For everyone who sent postcards and texts and knocked on doors, a big thank-you is in order. But, alas, due to a printing error on many ballots in Clackamas County, the winner is still unknown, which means the counting goes on, slowly and by hand. The campaign needs election observers to watch over the proceedings. The task is simply to observe and report back to the campaign what you saw and heard. All you’ll need is a notepad to record your observations as cell phone use is not permitted in the observation area. Please sign up here if you can. Jamie is so close! Let’s make sure every vote is recorded and counted correctly. Donate Now to A4D May 31 Is Almost Here
